There are a lot of Glanville Fritillary caterpillars about right now so I took a walk down to Compton (Shiphards Chine) with my macro lens. All images are hand held as I only had about 20 minutes. I have heard that there are also a lot in Ventnor at the moment, so it looks like the hard winter hasn't affected them.
As I went to leave this beautiful Small Copper Butterfly crossed my path and I just managed to get a couple of shots. It was a bit windy so I hope to go back with the tripod when the wind drops a bit.
